Year 11 Careers Fair (October 2021)
Year 11 met representatives from a range of training providers including Liverpool Hope University, Edge Hill University, Hugh Baird College, ASSET Training, Be More Apprenticeship Support and the Royal Navy. A successful event opening up the range of opportunities available for our young people.
Mock Interviews (November 2021)
Students from Year 11 engaged in mock interviews with representatives from HMRC.
Year 9 Merseyside Young Medics Programme (Dec 2021)
Year 9 students who have successfully enrolled on the University of Liverpool Merseyside Medics Programme. This is a three-year programme which will enable students to gain valuable experience over three years of life as student and professional in Health Care and Life Sciences.

Meet the Professionals
These sessions take place during Enrichment when pupils have the opportunity to explore a range of careers including the Royal Navy, Police Force, Architect, Pilot, Air Traffic Controller, Project Management with employers/emlpoyees working in these areas.
Year 10 Work Experience with the Sovini Group (March 2022)
A group of students were successful in their application to gain work experience with the Sovini Group. They engaged in various aspects of the construction sector including New Build, Gas, Electrical, Scaffolding and Project Management.

The Effective Transition Project (Throughout Academic Year)
King’s Leadership Academy Hawthornes is taking part in a project co-ordinated by the Liverpool City Region Careers Hub providing additional support to students as they transition through Year 10 and 11 into post-16 education or training. The students have one-to-one mentoring throughout the year and are involved in post-16 and 18 workshops focussing on employability skills, apprenticeships, T-Levels, A-Levels and Higher Education.
